What plan????

So the half marathon is about 19 weeks away.

I have been looking at training plans and I am now even more confused about what I should be doing.

Why do they vary so much?

I think looking at these plans hasnt really helped with my running confusion. They vary greatly in mileage, speed, how many times I run to cross training; should I concentrate on upping mileage, pace or both  etc etc etc la la la la .......... I mean really, why cant someone just write a "how not to die running 13.1 (yep that .1 of a mile IS important) miles all at once when you are a fat chick" plan.

I would definitely buy THAT book.

Well happy new year to me!!!!

So the festive season excess has left me with a 5lb excess. I didn't get through it as successfully as I would have liked.

 Its funny but this time last year I was so down about my weight  I would have just ate more to compensate for seeing the scales rise even more. This year it REALLY bothers me. Whats changed?  Someone helped me open a door and close some others and made me realise I am the only who had the power to see things differently and think in a different way.

I am now back at work and working off the excess. It would have been worse if I hadnt been out running during the holidays.

oooooooohhhhhhh Theres a man on TV showing me how to tighten up my chest muscles -  wonder if it will make them grow somewhat too?

Anyway back to the running. Well here we are in 2012. This is the year I will attempt to run a half marathon.

Not feeling too confident with my running at the moment. Not really got into a regular routine and I know I need to up my mileage/ training now. My mileage and speed arent increasing in anyway.

Need to turn my frown upside down and do something to keep my interest - ho hum.
